Naturally sweetened honey lemonade is such a treat on these hot summer days! And one you don’t have to worry about drinking too much of.

I sure did miss lemonade!
When I began my clean eating journey almost two years ago, I missed many different foods and beverages like ice cream, soda, and my favorite coffee drinks. But when the first summer came around, I was surprised how much I missed lemonade.
I have so many fond memories of drinking lemonade on a hot summer day after running through the sprinklers or trying to sell it at our lemonade stand at the end of our driveway. Lemonade is such a refreshing drink. If you squeezed summer into a glass, lemonade would be what you would get.
Lemonade is known as a heavily sugared and processed drink now. At least that is how we most commonly drink it. It’s either in cans, bottles, or the good old Country Time jar of lemonade mix. Knowing it was such a processed drink but determined to enjoy it again I set out to make my own naturally sweetened honey lemonade!

Start with Lemons, then…
You start with lemons, then you grab another lemon. Then another, and another and another. Squeeze them until you can’t squeeze them anymore, add some honey and water and you have yourself some lemonade.
Okay, you all know I will give you more direction than that, but it really is that simple!

Pro Presentation Tips
Naturally sweetened honey lemonade is great no matter what container it is in, but lemonade presents so nicely for guests or for a special meal.
My pro tip for this recipe is to slice up an extra lemon, and put the slices in the pitcher. Top off the rest of your pitcher with ice.
